I know: happiness is a state of mind, not a confluence of external forces. But that doesn’t mean that good stuff—good news, good fun, good people—doesn’t help us feel good too.
Who made you feel good this week?
Without wanting to sound too corny, the writers here at FeelGooder and ProBlogger made me feel good this week. Really!
One great aspect of my job is that I get to correspond with some really thoughtful people—and people who can express themselves well and freely in writing.
So for every lax, uninterested correspondent, there’s at least one engaged, appreciative author who takes the time to inject a little personality into their emails. Here are some of the comments that have made me feel good this week:“I appreciate how responsive you are—and how warmly the community has welcomed my writing—it’s nice to get all that feedback!”
“Thanks for the kind words, Georgina!”
“It’s really exciting to see the post up today!”
“Thanks for the welcome, I like working with you guys. You’re the most laid back editor ever.”
“Thanks once again for working with me! I’m very thrilled that the piece will make it onto your site, and I’ll be anxious to see it live.”
You know, listed there en masse like that, they make me feel even better!
The authors who write for us made me feel great this week. What about you? Who made you feel good?
I published a post on my blog on Friday and it has since been viewed over 1,500 times. My next highest post view? 90. Yeah, it’s been an amazing week. hehe
The most amazing part, though, has been reading all the comments about how it affected people. And making connections with readers. It’s made me feel so unbelievably good to know that something I wrote connected with people and helped them somehow.
Hi Georgina,
Wow! Amazingly, just by reading your title has already made me feel good. I guess it has somehow stimulated my mind to think of good things that has happened the past few days.
Anyway, let me just say that this site has been really one of my personal favorite. In fact, reading posts here really does make me feel good also. But other than that, some people like my boss has made me feel good because he has treated me really well and generously gave me my first pay, my husband of course who has been ever loving and supportive, and some family relatives who never failed to drop messages just to say they love me. Those precious simples things made me feel good the past couple of days. 🙂
Cheers,
-Floricel
Hi Georgina,
A couple of new clients made me feel great this week. We had a very productive brainstorming session yesterday, and they responded today’s meeting summary followup with an enthusiastic “We’re all fired up!” And so am I!
And two colleagues of Darren’s who offered constructive feedback on my blog – which sorely needs more of my time and a design talent to step it up from a former commentary to professional services blog. I am newly motivated to take the bull by the horns!
A lovely question to answer.
Best,
Alison
Thank you for a “happy POST”! I have had a wonderful week! The more I get involved in social media the more amazing friends I met… It is so wonderful the connections that have been made! I was featured in two blogs… wahoo! Congratulations to all of you.. I hope your week continues to be a great one!
Take care,
Lisa
Glad you asked. 🙂
My sister Jackie has always been so proud of my role as a writer. She called me on Tuesday to share with me how she had read selections from my poetry books to her staff members during their activity hour session. She has kept everything I’ve written throughout the years.
That touched me more than I can say.
Thanks soooo much for the comments 🙂 Sounds like we’ve all got some great people in our lives — whether they’re colleagues, friends, or family. Sounds like we’re pretty lucky people 🙂
Hey Georgina,
I’m grateful for my supportive family who encourage me to follow my passions. I am grateful to my blog readers who leave an extra long comment because they really resonated with my post.
This must be a good vibes week because everyone it seems is a little more “up”.
This week that I am full of exams and I can hardly see anyone,
has been my girlfriend who made me happier.
Love is the best for stress
cheers
My kids have been cracking me up! My littlest one just is starting to tell knock-knock jokes, and the older is just funny.
Even on my worst day, I at least get one good belly laugh!
So true! Kids can bring out the child in us. In this positive way, it can make us feel good more. 🙂
I constantly spent my half an hour to read this website’s articles everyday along with a cup of coffee.
