FeelGooder Asks: What Made You Feel Good In 2010?

It’s the last day of the year! Today, we’re asking:

What made you feel good in 2010?

One thing that made me feel pretty amazing in 2010 was the birth of my nephew.

This is one happy baby

He’s the first grandchild for my parents, and he was born while my 95-year-old grandfather was still alive and kickingβ€”and ecstatic to have a great-grandson.

We have a fabulous photo of my nephew, sister, mother, and grandfather together, and like most family photos, it says a lot. The photo tells of battles fought and lost, burdens shouldered, concessions made, and rifts healed. It says the unthinkable can be made real. When I look at it, I tell myself: if this is reality, then perhaps anything is possible. That’s a pretty good feeling.

What about you? What made you feel good in 2010?

  1. Congrats on your healthy, happy nephew! They always bring joy into our lives πŸ™‚

2010 for me was an awesome year, it went way too fast! I started my new blog and had many great opportunities for growth and quit some addictions.

    Thanks Georgina and Feelgooder!

  2. Finally being more comfortable with who *I* am! Learning I don’t have to be perfect, I can be myself and that is ok!

  3. Finding out my wife was pregnant with our first was huge for me.

2010 is also the year I began blogging, I got highly addicted, and now have three blogs, and have made some great connections as a result (including you Georgina!).

My brother started his first band, and we worked together to help them get their first series of small concerts. I was very proud and excited for him!

Also spent a great vacation with my dad, fishing and just hanging out.

That’s a short list, but 2010 was pretty awesome!

  4. Got married πŸ™‚ pretty exciting

  5. What a beautiful baby! πŸ™‚ I think he’s going to be a fine man someday.

For 2010, I got married to the love of my life, had a baby girl, and reached my earnings quota as a freelance copywriter and blogger. It’s been a good and at the same time challenging year and I’m hoping that 2011 will bring more blessings for my family and my business.

Happy new year in advance FeelGooder and the people behind this great blog!

  6. Wow πŸ™‚ You guys hit some pretty big milestones this year πŸ™‚ Congratulations. 2010 was clearly a pretty great year!

  7. 2010 started out great, and by September went a bit downhill, but I’m now recovering. πŸ™‚ Just hit a rough patch, that’s what I keep telling myself. We’ll get this going again. I’m looking forward to 2011, though.

I guess I accomplished a bit in 2010. I started a business. I started my health blog, and I’m actually making some money on it, which is a pleasant surprise! I met some new friends and have gotten some great socializing for my kids and myself, which is crucial for mental health, honestly.

I’m most grateful, in 2010, for my kids. My oldest is 5 and in Kindergarten now, and he’s so bright – it warms my heart to witness his love of learning and science. I’m amazed! I never met a 5 year old who wanted to be a paleontologist and could actually say the word.

  8. 2010 overall was an extremely rough year for but I guess there is light at the end of every tunnel. I guess the most enjoyable moment for me was rediscovering my passion for music, poetry, and writing. Even though I’m just getting started it feels good to be able just to do it again and for the first time in my life I’m taking a risk on my goal. So I guess in a sense I grateful for my bad year because help me rediscover my passion

    Your nephew is adorable!

  9. Summoning up the courage to quit my job and starting something I felt passionate about, my blog πŸ™‚
Returning home to India(from the US) and being with the people I cherish. I too met my nephew after a year(he is 2 yrs old now). It is such a great feeling!
I got married in Dec last year. This was the year of understanding each other better and deepening our bond. The process makes me feel we are both improving as human beings. It makes us both feel good.
My blog, my decisions and my life are motivating other people to live a courageous, more fulfilling life.
Yes, I too believe everything is possible :).

  10. I’m happy my husband and I have been able to keep our jobs in this economy – even though my workplace has been experiencing not so good changes, I’m very grateful to work there.
I’m happy I’ve been sticking to writing my blog, and in 2011 am resolved to become more focused on it.
I’m happy my daughter is doing well at U of M, and that we are able to afford to send her there.
Finally, I’m simply happy to be alive and healthy!

  11. Aww he looks like Uncle Darren! It’s funny because I have a brother named Darren and we have six nephews and nieces who are always saying, “Uncle Darren!” lol

  12. The birth of a new blog called Top Selling Christmas Gifts blog. It is an affiliate marketing blog also relying on income from Adsense.

My marketing methods are to people who are better off than most however I also promote goods that most people can purchase.

Some of my favorite items for sale include Cartier wrist watches, Sable fur coats, modular playgrounds, Ceylon Sapphire and Diamond pendant in 18k yellow gold.

I enjoy building this site while I read and study Problogger. I am determined in 2011 to earn enough income to finally return to self-employment. I have also just started a graphic design course to further develop my web design skills.
